Intelligent Computing @ Universiti Putra Malaysia

The intelligent computing team at Universiti Putra Malaysia is recruiting one MSc or PhD student on developing a new image processing technique and new neural network features for breast cancer thermography images. The time span for this work is approximately 1.5 to 2 years, where we will be processing thermographic images, specifically looking at frequency domain attributes(such as Gabor wavelet and Curvelet transforms). The ultimate goal is the classification and identification of subtle abnormal tissues for early detection of breast cancer.

We expect candidates with the following background:

• Must be a full-time registered Masters by Research student under the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, Universiti Putra Malaysia, Serdang campus.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related disciplines.
• CGPA 3.0 and above
• Proficient in C/C++/MATLAB/JAVA
• Good command of English language(oral and written)
• Independent and proactive
